Signs of a Healthy Church

Our church here at Family Life Center is growing! In fact, our conference room is getting too small to hold all of us. In keeping with our family atmosphere, we don't mind the cozy surroundings, but at the same time we're thinking ahead to building a structure that will give us the room we need as we look to the future.

This weekend we will have our second wedding and the entire church community is gearing up for that. On Sunday we have a baby dedication scheduled, another sign that we are growing.

Because of the growth in numbers of children in our Sunday School, we have decided to work on our program and especially on training new teachers. Recently we held an afternoon of teachers' training right after a Sunday morning service, kicking off with lunch together. It was well-attended and there is a lot of enthusiasm to train our children for Christ! We now have some new teachers that will serve as assistants until they are ready to teach on their own.
Approximately half of our congregation is made up of young people, mostly young men between the ages of 18-30. Many of them have given their lives to Christ after visiting us here at the Center. It's been very exciting to see them go on to bring their friends and then see the friends make a decision to follow the Lord. Every Thursday night we have a youth Bible Study to disciple these young people. This is the kind of church growth we like!
